Pabsimma Sits Fifth on Day One of Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate

Morganton, N.C. – Beem Pabsimma is currently in fifth place to lead the USC Upstate women's golf team after day one of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate from the par 72, 6161-yard Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.

USC Upstate carded an opening round 319 and is in seventh place of the team standings.

Longwood leads the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate by one stroke over Appalachian State and Elon at 309. Adel Vadkerti of Elon sits atop the individual leaderboard at 1-under par 71.


  • Pabsimma finished with a first round 75 and sits in fifth place four strokes behind the day one leader.
  • Pan Paksanont posted a day one round of 78 and is in a tie for 14th place.
  • Anna Chanthaphaeng is presently tied for 33rd position with an 82.
  • Brooke Hutto is two strokes behind Chanthaphaeng in a tie for 39th place at 84.
  • Kathryn Elliott rounds out the individual leaderboard tied for 43rd place with an 86.
  • Playing as individuals, Marley DeFreitas is tied with Paksanont for 14th place at 78 while Caroline Heustess is tied for 49th with a 91.
  • Pabsimma led the Spartans with four birdies on Sunday while Paksanont contributed two.
