Former Spartan Josh Gallman to Compete in BMW Charity Pro-Am

Spartanburg, S.C. – Former USC Upstate men's golfer, and Hall of Famer, Josh Gallman joins the professional ranks this week as the Gaffney, S.C. native will compete in the Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am, June 6-9, at the Thornblade Club and The Cliffs Valley golf courses.

With USC Upstate head golf coach Todd Lawton serving as his caddy, Gallman will tee off at 1:49 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at Cliffs Valley.

Gallman became the second men's golfer in program history to be inducted into the USC Upstate Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016. He played for the Spartans from 2006-10 and was recognized as the university's Student-Athlete of the Year twice.

A three-time ASUN All-Conference selection, including twice on the First Team, Gallman is currently the all-time leader at USC Upstate with seven career victories, 21 top-five and 33 top-10 finishes. He owns three of the top-10 season scoring averages in program history and four of the top-10 season winning percentages.

He graduated from USC Upstate in 2010 with a degree in business marketing. Gallman also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Spartans from 2011-12.

Throughout his professional career, Gallman has played on the eGolf Professional Tour and Nationwide Tour.
