FARMVILLE, VA. – USC Upstate head baseball coach earned his 500th career victory on Sunday afternoon, when the Spartans defeated Longwood University 4-2.

Bottom 5th: Eric Crain tripled to center field with one out in the inning and scored on a sacrifice fly in the next at bat.

Top 7th: Taylor tripled down the right field line to lead-off the top of the seventh inning. Andres Kim singled up the middle to give the Spartans the lead back at 2-1. J.J. Shimko then singled to put Kim in scoring position and Garett Wallace dropped down a sacrifice bunt to put a pair of runners in scoring position. Julian Rip singled to left field and the Spartans held a 3-1 lead.

Bottom 8th: Jawan McAllister walked to lead-off the inning and came around to score on a two-out RBI single by Carlos Garrido.
