Sigaki, Zarama Secure Flight Victories at USC Upstate Challenge

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team secured two singles flight victories on Saturday at the USC Upstate Challenge held at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex. 

The tournament has been shortened to one day due to forecasted inclement weather on Sunday. 

Carol Sigaki was the winner in singles first flight with three points. Vale Zarama tied for first place in the second singles flight with two points along with Lidia Yanes Garcia and Claudia Yanes Garcia of Austin Peay. Each player got a point for each set won at their position they played. 

Upstate continues the fall season on October 19-22 at the ITA Carolinas Regional in Cary, N.C.
