Spartanburg, S.C. – USC Upstate head coach Tyson John announced the 2018 women's soccer schedule on Monday highlighted by 11 matches at County University Soccer Stadium.
The Spartans will play 18 regular season matches, with 10 of those at County University Soccer Stadium. In their inaugural Big South Conference season, USC Upstate will play five conference matches at home and five on the road.
"We are extremely excited for this upcoming 2018 season," John said. "Our Women have been relentless in their preparation for a tough non-conference and conference schedule. Our current senior class has been instrumental in our pursuit to change this program's culture. Our move to the Big South allows us a 'fresh start' in creating a new conference tradition, and I know that our Spartans are going to make an immediate impact! We are also very excited about our incoming players, as they all have an understanding and commitment to continuing the progression in the classroom and on the field. I look forward to 2018 becoming our best season yet!"
The 2018 Spartans will take the field for the first time on Aug. 13 in an exhibition match at home against Spartanburg Methodist.
