LakePoint, Ga. – The USC Upstate women's soccer team has been picked to finish in eighth place in the ASUN after the league announced its preseason coaches' poll and All-Conference teams this afternoon.
Upstate earned eight points in the poll with seventh place NJIT recording 20 points. FGCU was chosen as the preseason favorite to win the league with 61 points and five first place votes.
The Spartans have 15 returning players along with 15 newcomers this season. Upstate travels to Charleston Southern on Saturday for an exhibition match before opening the regular season on Aug. 17 at Furman.
