Spartanburg, S.C. – For the second time this season, USC Upstate senior Matt Carter has been named the Big South Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the East Bay Deli Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C., the conference announced this afternoon.

Carter was previously named the Big South Men's Golfer of the Week on Sept. 27 after finishing tied for seventh at the Patriot Intercollegiate.

The Easley, S.C. native placed fourth at the East Bay Deli Classic, USC Upstate's final event of the fall, with a 5-under 211 (71-71-69). He led the 117-player field in par 3 scoring (-3, 2.75 stroke average) and tied for second with 14 birdies. Carter's performance was the highest among the 45 Big South competitors in the event and helped the Spartans to a fourth-place finish out of 21 teams. He also led the team with 33 pars.

The fourth place finish was the third top-10 performance of the season for Carter.
