Spartanburg, S.C. – USC Upstate will play its final non-conference game of the 2018 season on Tuesday night as the Spartans travel to Columbia to face South Carolina. First pitch at Founders Park is scheduled for 7 p.m.
USC Upstate is 23-27-1 overall and 5-13 in the ASUN Conference after being swept by Jacksonville at Harley Park last weekend. The Dolphins earned a 5-3 win in 11 innings on Friday evening followed by a 14-5 win on Saturday and a 15-3 victory in Sunday's series finale.
South Carolina is 30-21 overall and 15-12 in the SEC after the Gamecocks claimed a weekend series over Missouri. Justin Row leads the Gamecocks with a .362 batting average while Jacob Olson has a team-best 15 doubles. Carlos Cortes, who hit a walk-off home run in a 1-0 victory on Sunday, leads the team with 14 home runs.
The Gamecocks lead the all-time series 12-0, with 10 of the games having been played in Columbia.
