USC Upstate SAAC Partners with American Red Cross to Support Hurricane Florence Victims

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be using the next week to support the American Red Cross in its goal of gathering donations for the victims of Hurricane Florence.

Over the next week (Oct. 6-13), USC Upstate SAAC members will be at all Spartan athletic events asking for donations of either money or travel-sized toiletries. All donations will go directly to the American Red Cross.

SAAC members will be at four contests this Saturday, Oct. 6:  Women's Soccer at 2 p.m. against Longwood, Softball against Spartanburg Methodist at 3 p.m. and Erskine at 5 p.m., and Volleyball versus Gardner Webb at 5 p.m.  SAAC is also soliciting donations on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. during Volleyball's contest against UNC Asheville and at 7 p.m. with Women's Soccer hosting South Carolina State.
